Half Happy

We were hired as Creative Directors for Half Happy to create a new branding identity around the release of their debut EP, Conversation Killer. Alongside developing the band’s visual identity, we worked across the artwork, photography and overall creative direction for the project – creating a world that felt visually aligned with their dreamy, emotional sound.

The Concept
The brief given to us by Half Happy was “conversations to myself” – a phrase that became the foundation of the entire project. We hired Teddy's Place and worked alongside Ren Faulker to curate a soft, dreamlike scene centred around a single isolated seat, reflecting themes of solitude, reflection and internal dialogue. Inspired by the band’s dream pop genre, we wanted the visuals to feel cinematic, atmospheric and emotionally vulnerable – blurring the line between music artwork and visual storytelling. Alongside the EP artwork and photography, we also developed a new logo and merchandise direction for the band to help create a cohesive identity across both the music release and their wider visual presence. After winning the Triskel Award, the band wanted to invest the funding into creating something meaningful and visually lasting for this next chapter.
