We worked closely with National Theatre Wales to develop the visual identity and campaign design for Feral Monster — a grime musical exploring the experiences of neurodivergent LGBTQI+ young people growing up in the Welsh valleys.

The Concept

The project needed to feel raw, loud and emotionally honest, whilst still capturing the humour, warmth and chaos that runs throughout the production. At its core, Feral Monster celebrates the culture of what it means to be queer in the Welsh valleys — the friendships, nightlife, slang and shared sense of identity that exists within those communities. Inspired by grime culture, DIY posters and layered street graphics, we created a bold typographic identity designed to feel youthful, expressive and unapologetic. We wanted the campaign to balance emotional vulnerability with energy and humour, avoiding anything overly polished or theatrical in favour of something that felt more immediate, cultural and real.
