We worked with Skateboard Academy UK to develop a branding identity that stayed true to skate culture whilst still feeling approachable and trustworthy to schools, councils and community groups – helping break the outdated stigma surrounding skateboarding and position them as the go-to skate coaching company across the UK.
The Brief
Skateboard Academy UK approached us looking for a branding identity that could help showcase skateboarding as something positive, creative and community-driven. The challenge was to create an identity that felt professional and trustworthy to schools, councils and community groups, whilst still feeling authentic and respected within skateboarding culture itself.
We wanted to position Skateboard Academy UK as the go-to coaching company – creating a brand that felt welcoming, reputable and accessible without losing the energy and personality that makes skateboarding culture so important to the people within it.
The identity needed to feel professional, trustworthy and accessible to schools, councils and community groups, whilst still feeling authentic and respected within the skateboarding community itself.


We wanted to position Skateboard Academy UK as the default coaching company — creating an identity that felt neutral, trustworthy and professional to schools and councils, whilst still feeling authentic and respected within skateboarding culture itself.
Results
Since working with us, Skateboard Academy UK has gone on to work with councils including Caerphilly County Borough Council, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, Torfaen County Borough Council, Newport City Council and charities including Urdd Gobaith Cymru, Menter and Platfform – helping create opportunities for young coaches and grow a strong community around skateboarding across the UK.
